2019 General Race Information
REGISTRATION FEES: EARLY BIRD FEES!!! Register before April 1 and entry fees are discounted, so register early to get these fees! $30 for a running event (Sunday, April 7) , $40 for a cycling tour (Saturday, April 6) or $60 for both days! APRIL 1 – APRIL 7 the fees are $35 for a running event, $45 for a cycling tour and $70 for both days! $10 for the one-mile Kids’ Fun Run on Saturday, April 6. Free Beer for all participants 21 and over
Redbud participants over 21 will receive a free beer complimentary of COOP Ale Works at the finish line. Please have your ID and bib tab to receive your beer bracelet! Bracelets can be picked up at the Start line registration tent and at the Finish line in Nichols Hills Plaza. Additional beer available for purchase!

- Saturday: 6a.m.–7a.m. for cycling
- Sunday: 10:30a.m.–1p.m. (only first 5,000 timed race participants will receive timing chips)

Packets may be picked up at the Redbud Classic registration office located in Nichols Hills Plaza just north of 63rd and Western Ave. Look for the pink “Registration” banner. The office is open 10am to 6pm. daily beginning April 4-7.

SUNDAY APRIL 7, 10:30a.m.–1p.m. runners and walkers may pick up packets at the tent in from of Waterford Complex Building 6301.

REDBUD BASH- The official post race party of the Redbud Classic.
Don’t miss out on #FunAtTheFinish at the fifth annual REDBUD BASH. The official race after party, the REDBUD BASH, will be held at the finish area in Nichols Hills Plaza immediately following the start of the 5k and 10k runs on Sunday, April 7th at 1:00pm – 6pm. There will be a variety of food from some of Oklahoma’s premier food trucks, beverages from COOP Ale Works and other sponsors, free family-friendly games and activities, as well as live entertainment. Whether you are participating in the run, cheering someone on or just want to enjoy a family-friendly outing, this BASH will have something in store for you!
What better way to celebrate the 37th Annual Redbud Classic than to stick around and enjoy the festivities at the Redbud Bash! Come rain or shine, we can’t wait to see you at the finish line! #FunAtTheFinish

The Redbud Classic runs on volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering for the 2019 Redbud Classic, email email@example.com. All volunteers receive an official 2019 Redbud Classic volunteer t-shirt.
Individual results will be sent to each registrant. Complete results will be posted when available at the following locations: www.redbud.org and at the white tent in Nichols Hills Plaza following the race. Pick up your place medal in the Plaza at the white tent.
The Redbud Classic will use timing tags for our 2019 event. Your timing tag is attached to your bib.
Certification and Sanctioning
The Redbud Classic 5k and 10k are USAT&F sanctioned, certified. Runners are eligible for state and national records and rankings. The walk is not a sanctioned event.
All participants must wear a number. Running on the grass will result in disqualification. Participants must comply with Nichols Hills City Ordinances. All participants must pay an entry fee. All cyclists must wear helmet. All participants must follow official pace car.
Official lodging for the Redbud Classic is available at the Renaissance Waterford Hotel, located at the start line.
For your convenience, you can book your room online at the special $129 Redbud rate. You may also reserve your room by calling 888-236-2427 and asking for the “Redbud Classic Room Block.” The cut-off date for making reservations at the $129 rate is March 15, 2019.
Waterford Complex enter from Pennsylvania before 7a.m. No traffic will be allowed to enter Waterford after 7a.m. Parking is also available at Penn Square Mall, Pennsylvania and Northwest Expressway, in the northwest corner of the lot near UMB Bank. Penn Square Mall assumes no responsibility for cars parked there. No parking on Grand Blvd. Violators will be ticketed. All riders are encouraged to park at the Waterford. Parking for the Kid’s Fun Run available Nichols Hills Plaza.
Waterford Complex Building. Please enter the Waterford parking areas from 63rd Street before 1:00 p.m. No traffic will be allowed to enter Waterford after 1:00 p.m., except for Waterford owners and tenants. Additional parking at Penn Square Mall, Pennsylvania and Northwest Expressway, or the Glenbrook Center, NW 63rd & Grand Blvd. Penn Square and Glenbrook Center assume no responsibility for cars parked in those lots. No parking permitted on race course or any city streets. Cars on the course will be towed. Parking available for wheelchair participants in the BancFirst lot. See below under Sunday Bus Service for expanded event parking options that involve free bus service provided by the Redbud Classic.
Sunday Bus Service
Did you know you can park near the finish line of Redbud and get a bus ride over to the starting line prior to the event? Red Carpet buses will be taking Redbud Classic participants and spectators from Nichols Hills Plaza and the Chesapeake Energy campus to the starting line from noon to 1:30pm on Sunday. The bus stop just behind City Hall at Western and 63rd. The stop at Chesapeake is located in the main parking garage off of Western Ave. Look for the “Redbud Parking” banner. Collapsible strollers can be accommodated on buses.
If you would rather park near the starting line and need a ride back to the starting line area after the event, Red Carpet buses will be running from 2pm to 5pm to take participants and spectators from the finish line area in Nichols Hills Plaza back to the starting line area at the Waterford. No bus service will be provided to/from Penn Square Mall.
Age Classification and Awards
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies in the 10k open category
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies in the 5k open category
Time: Approximately 3:30pm
Location: Nichols Hills Plaza band stage.
Awards will be distributed at the white tent located in Nichols Hills Plaza following the awards ceremony. Final results will be confirmed by April 13.
Throughout course and at start and finish areas. Remember, heat kills and water saves! Past Redbud Classics have proven it can be hot and humid. Please drink plenty of water before, during and after the race.
Location: Nichols Hills Fire Department, east of Finish line ear in Nichols Plaza and throughout bike event courses on Saturday, supervised by St. Anthony Hospital and the Nichols Hills Fire Department.
